Pavement Solutions Inc started in the spray patching arena — maintaining highways throughout BC and Alberta. What began as a focused maintenance operation grew into something much bigger as clients asked for more, and PSI delivered.
In 2020, Ed made a deliberate decision: sell the highway repair division and refocus the company on what PSI does best — full-service paving and construction for clients who want one contractor handling everything, from ground to finished surface. It wasn't about getting smaller. It was about getting better.

What were once complementary services have grown into standalone capabilities: asphalt paving, excavation, base preparation, milling, stabilization, concrete, utilities, and trucking. Each one added to eliminate handoffs, reduce coordination headaches, and deliver better results under a single point of contact.
Today, PSI handles everything from highway contracts and municipal roads to new developments, commercial parking lots, and residential driveways. We're locally owned, locally operated, and invested in the communities we pave.
Ed Klop
Born and raised on a dairy farm in Chilliwack, BC, Ed is no stranger to long days and hard work. After building a career in real estate — both selling and constructing homes — he shifted gears in 2009 and founded Pavement Solutions Inc, starting with highway asphalt maintenance and repairs across BC and Alberta.
Over the next decade, Ed grew the company's highway spray patching division into one of the most trusted operations in western Canada. In 2020, he made a strategic decision to sell that division and pivot PSI toward full-service paving and construction — one contractor, one point of contact, ground to finished surface. It was a bet on doing fewer things better, and it paid off.
Ed's hands-on approach and commitment to doing things right the first time set the standard for everything PSI does today.

Henrico Klop
Like Ed, Henrico grew up in Chilliwack — raised on the family farm, working for local dairy farmers after school, and building a relentless work ethic before he was old enough to drive. At 17, he started in construction: framing custom homes, pouring foundations, and building agricultural buildings across the Fraser Valley.
He transitioned into civil and road building in Metro Vancouver, spending years on parking lots, city infrastructure, municipal roads, and highway projects before moving to Sorrento and joining PSI as a partner in 2022. Henrico brings deep operational experience in civil construction and combines it with an uncompromising focus on quality and customer service.
His expertise is the reason PSI can confidently take on projects from Kamloops to Vernon and deliver results that speak for themselves.
