Quality that welcomes you home
every day.
We don't cut corners on residential work. Your driveway gets the same engineered base, machine-laid asphalt, and roller compaction that we bring to parking lots and roadways. The result is a surface that looks beautiful on day one and performs for decades — handling BC Interior freeze-thaw cycles, heavy vehicles, and everything your family throws at it.
And because PSI handles everything from excavation to paving in-house, there are no subcontractor delays or coordination headaches. One crew, one schedule, one person to call if you ever have a question.

When your base is still solid but the surface is worn, cracked, or uneven, milling and overlay restores your driveway at a fraction of the cost of full replacement.
Need more parking space or a wider approach? We extend your existing driveway with matching asphalt, proper base preparation, and seamless transitions.
Smooth asphalt walkways and paths connecting your driveway to your home, garage, or garden — clean, accessible, and maintenance-free.
Extruded or formed concrete curbing and borders that define edges, direct water flow, and give your driveway a clean, finished look.
Proper grading, catch basins, and drainage systems that protect your driveway, foundation, and landscaping from water damage and pooling.
Why homeowners choose PSI
for their driveway.
We're not just a paving company that does driveways on the side. We bring the same professional-grade equipment, materials, and expertise to your home that we use on commercial and government projects — and we treat every homeowner like a neighbour, because we are one.
Machine-laid asphalt, GPS-guided grading, and commercial-grade rollers — we don't hand-rake your driveway. You get the same finish as a municipal road.
Our quotes include everything — excavation, base, paving, cleanup. The price we quote is the price you pay. No extras, no change orders, no awkward conversations.
If your driveway only needs resurfacing instead of full replacement, we'll tell you. We'd rather earn your trust than oversell a project you don't need.

Frequently asked questions
about residential paving.
Answers to common questions from homeowners about driveway paving, costs, and maintenance.
Every driveway is different — cost depends on size, existing conditions, drainage requirements, and base preparation needed. PSI provides free, no-obligation site visits and detailed quotes that include all costs upfront. Call 778.200.2166 or visit our contact page to get started.
Most residential driveways are completed in one to two days — including excavation, base preparation, and paving. Larger or more complex projects may take longer. We'll give you a clear timeline during your consultation so there are no surprises.
When properly installed and maintained, an asphalt driveway can last 20 to 30 years or more. The key factors are quality base preparation, proper drainage, adequate asphalt thickness, and regular maintenance like sealcoating every 3–5 years.
Asphalt paving is best completed in warm, dry weather — typically from late spring through early fall in the BC Interior. These conditions allow for proper compaction and optimal durability. PSI's paving season books up fast, so we recommend reaching out early to secure your spot.
If the underlying base is still solid, yes — milling the worn surface and applying a new overlay is a cost-effective way to restore your driveway's appearance and performance. During our site visit, we'll assess your base condition and recommend the best approach — whether that's resurfacing or full replacement.
In the BC Interior, asphalt is often the better choice. It's more flexible than concrete, which means it handles freeze-thaw cycles without cracking as easily. It's also faster to install, more cost-effective, and can be easily repaired or resurfaced down the road. Concrete can be a good option for specific applications — we're happy to discuss what's right for your property.
Most newly paved surfaces are ready for light traffic within 24 to 48 hours, depending on thickness and weather. We recommend waiting at least 3 days before allowing vehicle traffic. New asphalt is susceptible to scuffing, so avoid sharp turns while stopped or moving slowly for the first few weeks.
Keep it clean, sealcoat every 3–5 years, and address cracks early before water infiltrates and damages the base. Avoid parking heavy equipment in the same spot during hot weather. With basic care, your asphalt driveway will stay smooth and strong for decades.
Yes — we stand behind every project with a one-year workmanship warranty covering materials and installation. More importantly, we're always available beyond that period if you need support, advice, or maintenance. Our commitment to our clients doesn't end when the project does.
